Step 1 · Connect your terminal
Your free month starts here.
Volta doesn't need an Adyen API key: Adyen sends it each card payment through a webhook, signed with a key only you and Volta have. Four things to do, in this order:
- Your merchant account, as shown at the top left of your Adyen Customer Area.
- Create the webhook in Adyen: in your live Customer Area, Developers → Webhooks → + Webhook → Standard webhook. Paste this address in Server configuration → URL, and keep the event AUTHORISATION.
… - Turn on the card details, under Additional settings: card summary, card BIN, alias and payment account reference. Without the card summary, Volta can't recognise cards.
- Generate the HMAC key, under Security → HMAC key, then Save configuration in Adyen and paste the key here.
Last step, in Viva Wallet
- Open Settings → API Access → Webhooks and tap Create Webhook.
- Paste this address in URL:
- Choose the event Transaction Payment Created, tap Verify, then Save.
- Make a test payment on your terminal: it shows up below.
Last step, in Adyen
- In your live Customer Area, open Developers → Webhooks, tap + Webhook and choose Standard webhook.
- Paste this address in Server configuration → URL:
- Under Events, keep AUTHORISATION.
- Under Additional settings, turn on the card details: card summary, card BIN, alias and payment account reference. Without the card summary, Volta can't recognise cards.
- Under Security → HMAC key, tap Generate, copy the key, then Save configuration.
- Paste the HMAC key here:
- Back in Adyen, tap Test configuration, then make a card payment on your terminal: it shows up below.
